VIC: Firefighters to hospital after incinerator fire grows

MELBOURNE, Jan 10 AAP - Two firefighters were taken to hospital after a fire in an Ararat
incinerator grew out of control early this afternoon.

The Country Fire Authority firefighters were taken for a check-up after inhaling fumes from
paint and thinners when the fire engulfed a garden shed in Ararat, western Victoria.

CFA spokesman Gary McQuade said that although the fire began in the incinerator it quickly
spread to the shed, then to the surrounding area, burning seven hectares of scrub.
