Qld: Police investigate claims over injured cyclist

BRISBANE, Feb 6 AAP - The police ethical standards committee is to investigate allegations
that a woman attempting to report an attack on a cyclist overnight was turned away from
Brisbane police headquarters.

Police spokesman Brian Swift has denied the allegations saying rather than being turned
away from the building the woman was given directions by a security guard about where
to report the attack.

"Police headquarters is not a police station and there were no police on duty there
apart from communications officers," he said.
