FIREFIGHTER UNIONS BACK MULROW FOR COMPTROLLER.(CAPITAL REGION)

Albany Democratic state comptroller candidate William Mulrow picked up the endorsements of two firefighters' organizations on the eve of the Sept. 11 memorial events in New York City, adding to his list of big union supporters.

Mulrow, a Westchester County investment adviser, was backed by the Uniformed Firefighters Association and the Uniformed Fire Officers Association. They added to a host of major union groups on Mulrow's side, including the AFL-CIO, AFSME, Civil Service Employees Association and Local 1199 SEIU.
