Qld: Yanner faces court over weapons charges
Aboriginal activist MURRANDOO YANNER has faced a court in north-west Queensland chargedwith possessing a pistol and a sawn-off shotgun.
He was also charged in Burketown Magistrates Court with possessing illegal fireworks,a dangerous drug, failing to securely store a weapon and unauthorised meat processing.
YANNER was one of seven people charged on August 6 after police raids on 10 homes atBurketown and Doomadgee.
He was not required to enter a plea and the matter was adjourned until November 21.
